I feel that I need to begin with this disclaimer that my expectations were set pretty high on this book。 I read the first two books （See Me After Class， Earn Your Extra Credit） and the novella--Mr。 Klein is Fine。 When I found out that Cora was getting her own book。。。I was beyond excited。 Quinn didn't disappoint with Cora。 I was a bit upset about Pike， but I'll discuss that later。 Cora's relationship with her brother Arlo from See Me After Class was beautifully integrated into not only this book I feel that I need to begin with this disclaimer that my expectations were set pretty high on this book。 I read the first two books （See Me After Class， Earn Your Extra Credit） and the novella--Mr。 Klein is Fine。 When I found out that Cora was getting her own book。。。I was beyond excited。 Quinn didn't disappoint with Cora。 I was a bit upset about Pike， but I'll discuss that later。 Cora's relationship with her brother Arlo from See Me After Class was beautifully integrated into not only this book but all three books in the teacher series。 As usual， Quinn had me laughing at the antics and unusual things that came out of the character's mouths especially Keeko。 What I adore about this book: the humor and wit from each character。 I cracked up at each prank Cora used on Pike which did become a theme in the teacher series。 How she was cooking so bad that even she couldn't take it anymore almost brought tears to my eyes from laughing so hard。 Quinn has Cora educating Pike on Americanisms especially since Pike hadn't been teaching in America for very long。 That leads me to。。。。What I had issues with: Yet when Pike starts using terms of endearment he says "babe" or "baby" both are American terms。 For some reason， I can't imagine a Brit using those terms， not when they usually say "love" or "lovely" instead。 And when the barbershop quartet show up at the high school to sing to Cora， someone who doesn't work there， but has lunch with her friends and brother--a bit of a stretch， somewhat believable。 While it's doubtful that Cora would be allowed to have lunch with her teacher friends and brother， a small school district would allow it。 I'm not sure a school in Chicago would allow that， but I suspended belief。 I had great difficulties doing that when the quartet showed up to sing for Cora。I hope you understand that just because my negative list is longer than my positive aspects of the book does not mean I disliked the book。 Quite the contrary。 I adored it。 Honestly， it is one of my favorite Meghan Quinn books。 I highly encourage readers to buy the book。 。。。more

Another hit for MQ！I just love Meghan’s books and wait patiently（ish） for her new releases since I’ve already devoured her other books （and reread my favorites）。 It was nice to revisit the characters from Forest Heights again。 I really loved Pike and Cora’s story。 As always， it’s told in dual POV （yay！）。 I’d make sure you have some tissues handy for this read。 I don’t want to give any spoilers， but I’ll just say that get off to a bumpy start （although it’s fun as all get out for the reader） and Another hit for MQ！I just love Meghan’s books and wait patiently（ish） for her new releases since I’ve already devoured her other books （and reread my favorites）。 It was nice to revisit the characters from Forest Heights again。 I really loved Pike and Cora’s story。 As always， it’s told in dual POV （yay！）。 I’d make sure you have some tissues handy for this read。 I don’t want to give any spoilers， but I’ll just say that get off to a bumpy start （although it’s fun as all get out for the reader） and go through a beautiful， funny， honest journey to get their HEA and I’m so here for it。 This will definitely be a reread for me， I loved it that much！ 。。。more

Private School teachers & after hour activities This series keeps getting better & better。 I was waiting for Cora’s story， it did not disappoint。 The only stumble was some of the emotional scenes felt rushed or dragged on with in-decision。 Overall， solid， spicy romance read that progresses the series and expands the character base。 Can’t wait for killian’s story！

Steamy but longI'm sad to see this series come to an end， but this steamy romance wrapped everything up with a neat little bow。 Did I love this couple？ Not particularly， but I didn't dislike them either。 This was the first book in the series that dragged for me; there was just so much other stuff going on that I never fell for these two together。 There was still some fantastic banter， a playful feel， and plenty of steam， but I wouldn't say that I connected to either character。 Put Me in Detentio Steamy but longI'm sad to see this series come to an end， but this steamy romance wrapped everything up with a neat little bow。 Did I love this couple？ Not particularly， but I didn't dislike them either。 This was the first book in the series that dragged for me; there was just so much other stuff going on that I never fell for these two together。 There was still some fantastic banter， a playful feel， and plenty of steam， but I wouldn't say that I connected to either character。 Put Me in Detention follows the theme of the series - pushing boundaries with heat that slowly simmers into heart。 These two are fire together， and the steamy scenes are some of Quinn's sexiest yet。 Married as attracted acquaintances， they spend a significant portion of the book fighting the sexual tension， and that made for one steamy， intense read。 The story follows Cora， a woman who is ready to celebrate her new single status with a one night stand on her Vegas divorce-cation。 Cora's luck seems to change when she runs into the broody bad boy who teaches at the same school as her brother。 Despite flirting shamelessly with Pike for months， he's never shown an interest in Cora。。。 until that night in Vegas。 When the two wake up， they discover that their alcohol-fueled night has resulted in a marriage that throws a wrench in both of their plans。 But Pike has his reasons for wanting to make things work， and that's all kinds of trouble for a woman who just got out of a relationship。 Cora agrees to give their marriage a chance for three months。。。 but she's sure she'll be able to drive Pike away before then。We got a peek at Cora and Pike's dynamic in the previous book， so I was excited to get reading - and I loved the sound of the blurb。 I'll admit that I was a little disappointed to discover Pike's reason for going along with the marriage。 I was kinda hoping he actually was smitten， and that's not the case。 His deception is likely the reason why I didn't fully connect with him， because Pike makes for a great hero otherwise。 He was easy to love in so many ways - loyal， patient， and caring， with a definite bad boy side that added some sizzle in the bedroom。 I didn't really like Cora in this; I get her reasons for pushing Pike away， but there's so little of the book where she's actually open-minded。 I also didn't need to know so much about Pike's past relationship。 Ultimately， there was nothing major holding this back from being a 5-star read， because it had the same playful， sexy vibe that I love about Quinn's work。 There was tons of great banter， and it definitely brought the heat。 With more likable characters， it wouldn't have felt 150 pages too long， but you've really got to be loving a book for 500 pages not to feel endless。 We do get some strong moments with the friend group， and this book tied the series together so well。 I'm happy with the way things turned out， and there was definitely more good than bad。 。。。more

Ladies and gents， she’s done it again！ Meghan Quinn has created yet another must read。 It’s got everything you could want: fun， steam， and plenty of angst。 Pike Greyson is the new history teacher but is originally a well to do Brit that’s in the U。S。 now in an attempt at escaping from the overwhelming nature of his father and his expectations。 Cora is the recently divorced sister to Arlo， the head teacher at the school Pike now works at and is also friends with several of the teachers there。 （If Ladies and gents， she’s done it again！ Meghan Quinn has created yet another must read。 It’s got everything you could want: fun， steam， and plenty of angst。 Pike Greyson is the new history teacher but is originally a well to do Brit that’s in the U。S。 now in an attempt at escaping from the overwhelming nature of his father and his expectations。 Cora is the recently divorced sister to Arlo， the head teacher at the school Pike now works at and is also friends with several of the teachers there。 （If you’ve read any of the other books in this series， I’m sure I don’t need to explain it all to you。） Despite meeting previously on occasion， Pike and Cora haven’t ever really talked， but when they run into each other in Las Vegas one weekend， they hit it off。 That night they drink too much， especially Cora’s archnemesis Fireball， and wind up married。 Unfortunately for Pike （and Cora）， Pike’s father finds out that he’s married her， and basically coerces his own son into either making their new marriage real or losing his beloved foundation that he started with his brother， Killian。 What follows is a lot of hilarity and plenty of angst in Pike and Cora’s journey together。 In this book， we get to see Cora on a whole new level， and I absolutely adore her。 She was the fun， spunky， a little bit crazy baby sister of Arlo’s before， but in Put Me In Detention she’s her own vibrant but vulnerable heroine。 She brings so much comedic flair to this story， especially when it comes to her love/hate relationship with Fireball and her group chats with her girlfriends。 Then there’s Arlo。 He surprised me。 I’m not sure what I expected from him when we were first introduced to him before this book， but I like his character。 He’s got heart and charm， and it would be hard to not fall in love with him。Their relationship has so much passion and their story is incredibly well written。 It’s the sort of storytelling that I’m accustomed to from Quinn， and I think that’s probably why her books are always must reads for me。 She’s got a way of writing details about her characters where when there’s heartbreak， you can literally feel it。 When one of her characters is devastated， you sincerely feel for them。 She’s good at making you fall in love with her stories， breaking your heart， and don’t worry， putting you back together。 It’s great storytelling to say the least。 I’m not sure what to say other than read this book。 It’s best if you read the previous books in the series but not altogether necessary。 If you’re a fan of romance， and especially romantic comedies， this book is for you。 。。。more

Cora finally gets her HEA， but dang this girl really has to work for it！ After a crazy drunken night in Vegas （on her divorce-cation） Cora wakes up married to Pike Grayson。 The bad boy Brit who teaches at her brother's school。 This book was a lot of fun to read。 Pike tries desperately to win over Cora and she tries equally hard to push him away。 This leads to some funny moments and humorous situations。 I loved the character development and slow build of the relationship between these two。 The st Cora finally gets her HEA， but dang this girl really has to work for it！ After a crazy drunken night in Vegas （on her divorce-cation） Cora wakes up married to Pike Grayson。 The bad boy Brit who teaches at her brother's school。 This book was a lot of fun to read。 Pike tries desperately to win over Cora and she tries equally hard to push him away。 This leads to some funny moments and humorous situations。 I loved the character development and slow build of the relationship between these two。 The story follows the predictable Meghan Quinn pattern， with a slight variation at the end。 I really enjoyed Cora's struggle to break out of her old habits， and discover herself。 There were a few moments that I think went on too long， and while it was mentioned early on that Cora was in therapy （something also mentioned in the previous books） this was not a part of her current story。 This was disappointing because I thought it could be helpful for Cora working through some of her concerns。 The character who stole the show in this book was Keiko。 She had a strong storyline throughout the book and it was completely delightful。 I know Meghan Quinn had said she would not be giving Keiko her own book， but she gave her a full arc in this book and it was fabulous！I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review。 。。。more
